Notes : “Binns revised the spelling and arrangement, and omitted Arabic and Latin references. Though he did not include any explanation of the orthography he used, his work does not deserve the severe censure of Canon Hellier who wrote »Unfortunately this dictionary [i.e. the first edition from 1882] was re-edited in 1925, and completely spoiled in the process” (Doke 1945:55f).
